Ignition Strengthens Sales Force with Two New Appointments

Ignition, a leading provider of vehicle and asset finance for UK SMEs, based in Truro, is welcoming two new Business Development Managers to its growing team.

The company offers finance for a wide range of assets from plant and machinery to vehicles and business equipment, either using its own funds or via joint trading relationships with a panel of major finance houses. The new appointments are part of a drive to expand its reach across the southwest and into South Wales.

Dan Liddeatt brings a wealth of experience having previously worked as National Sales Manager at Close Brothers and Group Business Development Manager with PMG Services ltd.  He will be looking to generate new business leads across Bristol and the surrounding area, focussing on asset finance for SMEs across all sectors, whilst also drawing on his wider business interests to explore additional opportunities across the waste and recycling, sewerage and waste management and construction sectors.

Dan comments: “I’m thrilled to be stepping into this new role during such an exciting time here in the southwest. Ignition adopts a holistic approach to funding and places great emphasis on delivering excellent customer outcomes. This was a pivotal factor that drove my decision to join the team, and I am eager to expand my customer base and establish myself as their trusted partner."

Dev Alexander brings over 15 years of experience in relationship management within the banking industry, this includes a roll at Development Bank of Wales where he worked exclusively with Welsh businesses and more recently with NatWest, where he excelled in supporting businesses to grow and develop while fostering strong customer relationships. His extensive background includes expertise in trading and agriculture management, working closely with introducers and brokers to secure new business and manage complex lending proposals.

Dev will focus on supporting businesses across South Wales. While his background in banking and specialisation in trading and agriculture will be invaluable, he is also eager to build relationships with businesses in other key sectors, including hospitality, engineering, and manufacturing.

Dev comments: “After a successful career in the banking industry, it’s exciting to be taking on a new challenge where I can use my many transferable skills to make a real difference to SMEs in the region. On meeting the Ignition team, I immediately felt a synergy with their ethos and clear focus on practical solutions and excellent customer service. My role within Ignition is to understand each client and help provide the most suitable finance for their specific business needs.”

Ignition’s Associate Director, Nicola Hambly, comments:

“We’re delighted to welcome Dan and Dev to the team.  They are both a great fit for Ignition, helping us in our drive to extend our reach beyond our core southwest region. Their ability to build strong relationships with customers, introducers and brokers aligns with the core values of the Ignition team and will further strengthen our skilled and committed workforce.”
