Corporate tax expert joins PKF Francis Clark’s Truro team

PKF Francis Clark has strengthened its tax team in Truro with the appointment of corporate and real estate tax specialist Nick Crandon.

Nick has joined as a senior tax manager from BDO’s property team in London. He is able to advise owner-managed businesses on business structuring, tax due diligence on transactions, complex tax issues and compliance matters. Nick boosts an already very strong tax presence at PKF Francis Clark in Truro and Plymouth, where more than 20 of the firm’s 140-strong specialist tax department are based.

He said: “I enjoy being able to support clients throughout their business journey – from inception to exit – as well as working with the wider PKF Francis Clark teams on technical tax issues. I’m looking forward to working with a wider variety of clients while continuing to use my real estate and property expertise.

“My wife is from Cornwall and we’ve always wanted to live in this beautiful part of the world while having challenging and rewarding careers. PKF Francis Clark provides the perfect opportunity to tick both boxes, and I’m excited by the corporate tax team’s ambitious growth plans.”

John Endacott, PKF Francis Clark’s head of tax, said: “We are pleased to have such a strong tax presence physically located in the Cornish marketplace and Nick is a fantastic addition to that team. He gives us more tax leadership in Cornwall – particularly for the larger corporate clients. He will play a key role in helping Cornish businesses to navigate the complex tax landscape. We’re delighted he has joined us.”

Outside work, Nick is a keen cyclist, as well as enjoying marathon running, golf and coastal walks.
