Following their successful transition across to Employee Ownership in April this year, Blue Flame have been shortlisted for a UK Employee Ownership Award. As Cornwall’s leading heating, renewable and electrical service and installation company, being shortlisted for ‘Employee Owned Transition of the Year’ highlights their commitment to collaboration and shared success as a team.
The prestigious UK Employee Ownership Awards are recognised by both businesses and individuals who drive effective EO practices, empowering employee owners to unlock greater EO impacts. The ‘EO Transition of the Year’ accolade recognises a shining example of businesses who successfully became employee owned between 1st September 2023 and 1st September 2024. It acknowledges companies who have demonstrated strong leadership with a thoughtful approach to EO transition, resulting in the business being in a greater position to develop its employee voice and EO impacts.
As James de le Vingne, Chief Executive of the EOA explains, “We extend congratulations to Blue Flame on being shortlisted for Employee Owned Transition of the Year. It’s a remarkable accomplishment that speaks volumes to the power of employee ownership evidenced through the exceptionally high calibre of entries we’ve received this year.
“As proudly employee-owned, these businesses are leading the way in developing Great EO practices, delivering increased employee wellbeing and business performance, and contributing to People Powered Growth in the UK.”
Managing Director Matt Dennison says, “We are delighted to be nominated for this award. What it recognises is the efforts of absolutely everybody within the Blue Flame team to come together and work towards a common goal. Adapting to employee ownership brings with it so many opportunities, many of which we’re only just starting to explore, so to be recognised in this way so early on is something we’re very proud of.”
Shortlisted alongside three other national companies, Aspect, Ignis and Wildfire PR, the winner of the ‘EO Transition of the Year’ award will be revealed at a gala dinner celebration on Tuesday November 26th at the Telford International Centre during the annual EOA Conference.
