About Us

Our passion is helping people with disabilities access the same areas as others. We want to help businesses understand their responsibilities under The Equality Act 2010 (Reasonable Adjustments).

My interest in helping people with disabilities started as an Interior Design Specialist, which began in 2010, taking my Foundation Degree and then my BA (Hons) in Interior Design. Because of my 4 hidden disabilities, including hearing loss, I felt there was a niche in the market. From 2011 to 2016, my entire design project included designing for people with visible and hidden disabilities. I expanded my understanding and knowledge of the needs of people with disabilities through reading books, legislation, and the law. I started my Access Consultancy in 2019.

Enable Accessibility CIC’s passion is helping people with disabilities access the same areas and enjoy the same feeling of freedom as a non-disabled person.

We want to help businesses understand their responsibilities under The Equality Act 2010 (Reasonable Adjustments) regarding people with hidden and visual disabilities.

These persons could include, amongst others:

1. Wheelchair users.
2. Those who find it difficult to walk across rough terrain and swim but do not usually use wheelchairs, e.g. someone with Hereditary Spastic Paraparesis or a person with lower limb prosthetics.

3. People who have not long come out of the hospital and need help to access these areas.
4. Long Covid.
