Remote, hybrid, and lone working are now the norm for many, especially those employed in tech roles, potentially leading to feelings of isolation. And even for those who are office based, the separation between work and home is becoming increasingly diffuse.
Wellbeing in a Digital Age takes place on Thursday 3 October, one week ahead of World Mental Health Day *. It will offer a holistic approach to understanding and supporting wellbeing for those working in the tech sector and beyond, as well as those not currently employed. It is intended to be relevant for everyone whether you are personally experiencing mental health challenges, wish to understand those faced by family, friends, or colleagues, or simply want to know more.
We hope the event will further breakdown the stigma surrounding mental health, illuminate how deeply interrelated mental and physical wellbeing are, and indicate some ways to wellbeing (including highlighting how tech can be used to support wellbeing). Intertwining performance elements and immersive workshops alongside talks, panel discussions and exhibitors, we are aiming to engage, inspire, empower, and connect.
The event is fully funded thanks to the Shared Prosperity Fund ** . To enable more people to benefit, the morning of the event (all elements except the workshops) will be livestreamed via CHAOS TV. The livestream is also fully funded (free).
