Pitch & Procure Event
This event registration is to be part of our live audience (pitchers have been chosen via application/shortlist process)
We are delighted to extend an exclusive invitation to you for Cornwall’s first Pitch & Procure event on the morning of Monday, September 16th at FibreHub.
This unique event, organised by Smart Working Revolution, Cornwall Chamber and the Evolve Futures Project, will connect major businesses with local Cornwall organisations, offering a rare opportunity for direct engagement.
Promoting and facilitating local procurement is a key strategic priority of the Chamber. We know that many local large organisations, local authorities and the NHS are working to increase their spending locally. However, a combination of businesses being put off by the procurement process and major procurers being unaware of some of the products and services that local businesses can provide is preventing the building of resilient local supply chains.
This one-of-a-kind event brings enterprising local businesses together with several major procuring organisations, offering a platform for them to showcase their products and services to these prime procurers. It will also open up exciting opportunities to engage directly with them, potentially leading to significant business growth.
The format will be short, sharp and interactive, maximising the potential for meaningful connections.
A panel of five major procurers will be in the front row of an audience that will hear a series of short, sharp pitches from several businesses, followed by a brief Q&A.
Our panel include:
Jon Hurrell - Cornwall Manufacturing Group
Helen Wylde - Wildanet
Mark Hewson - Imerys
Chris Jones - Falmouth Exeter Plus
Lewis Tolputt - Classic Builders
Patric Eriksson - Qantx
Kevin Pearce - Ocean Housing Group
Following the Q&A, the procurers can choose which businesses they wish to speak with further. This may be as simple as being sent details of registering for tender information and entering the procurement process or an invitation to a further exploratory meeting.
We are all committed to supporting successful pitchers and can facilitate introductions to additional support in preparing their tenders.
After the presentations, there will be ample opportunity to network with our procurers, ensuring a supportive environment for all participants.
You're welcome to join us even if you're not interested in pitching yourself. The event will offer excellent networking opportunities, and you may even hear about something that will benefit your business.
