Have you joined the Chamber in the past few years? Join us for a unique networking experience amidst the breath taking beauty of Cornwall's Helman Tor!
Unwind, connect, and explore as we embark on a scenic net-walking journey through this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Take advantage of this opportunity to network with other new members of the Chamber, whilst immersing yourself in the stunning landscapes and fresh air.
Whether you're a seasoned networker or simply looking to expand your connections within the chamber network in a relaxed setting, this event offers the perfect blend of business and nature. Don't miss out on this chance to build relationships, share ideas, and soak in the serenity of Helman Tor.
We will also be hearing from Andy Collins, Reserves Manager for Cornwall Wildlife Trust.
Andy Collins is the Mid-Cornwall Reserves Manager for Cornwall Wildlife Trust. He looks after 25 nature reserves in the middle of Cornwall. Helman Tor, is the northern extent of his range and at just under 300 hectares is Cornwall Wildlife Trusts largest reserve and is home to many rare wildlife and plants species. Andy will be guiding us on a 1hr and 30 minute walk exploring the history of the Tor, the wildlife that now calls it home and discussing their rewilding plans.
Terrain along the route we will be taking can be challenging. Parts of it are often muddy, even in the summer months. Some of the wettest parts have sections of boardwalk in place but due to limited funds it’s impossible to maintain the boardwalk over the whole trail. Please bear this in mind when booking your place. Remember to wear appropriate footwear (walking boots or wellies), bring warm clothes if necessary as well as water to drink. We also recommend wearing long trousers rather than shorts to reduce the risk of ticks.
Whilst dogs are allowed on the reserve (if kept on leads) to increase our chances of seeing wildlife we ask for a no dog policy (or any other pets for that matter)
Spaces are limited, so reserve your spot today and get ready to network while exploring one of Cornwall's hidden gems!
