Delivered by the University of Plymouth, this Net Zero and Climate Change workshop explores the concept of net zero and its significance in combating climate change.
Beginning with an overview of greenhouse gas emissions and their impact, we'll delve into strategies for achieving net-zero emission and look at energy, transport, buildings and agriculture, where most emissions come from.
Through case studies, interactive activities and quizzes, you'll learn about your carbon footprint and how to reduce it, introducing the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions. We'll also explore the carbon handprint concept, a positive forward-looking action that can be taken.
By the end of the workshop, you'll be able to articulate why the climate system is changing, the impacts these changes have and how both individuals and organisations can play a role in the transition to net zero.
