The Cornwall Roadshow, sponsored by the University of Plymouth, is the last in a series of Regional Roadshows designed to engage local business leaders in discussions about how to collectively influence Westminster to work for the South West. With an agenda centred on collaboration, innovation, and the importance of a united voice, the event will be an essential gathering for those committed to Cornwall's future.
The event, held at the Alverton Hotel in Truro on 7 November, 08.30 - 10.30, will include breakfast, talks from John Brown, CEO of Cornwall Chamber of Commerce; Karl Tucker, Chair of the Great South West Partnership; and an engaging panel discussion featuring Mark Hewson, UK Hub Director at Imerys and Great South West Board member; Prof Kevin Jones, Deputy Vice Chancellor at the University of Plymouth; and Councillor Linda Taylor, Leader of Cornwall Council.
The panel will explore how the region can harness its collective strengths to strengthen its role as a powerhouse in the UK economy, at the forefront of national security and prosperity.
