Labour's New Deal for Working People was to improve pay, enhance job security, and bolster workers' rights, the plan included raising the minimum wage, ensuring fair pay for all, changes to zero-hour contracts and conditions for gig economy workers. It also set out guaranteeing rights to flexible working plus strengthening trade union protections.
